The Gauge Doc began in 2009 when Mark Gibson, a lifelong Mopar enthusiast, set out to solve the gauge and electroluminescent lighting issues in his own 1966 Dodge Charger. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a trusted source for classic Mopar instrument restoration.
In 2022, the business was passed to Dean Hillery, a close friend and fellow member of Mopars Unlimited of Arizona. Sharing the same passion for first-generation Chargers and vintage Mopars, Dean continues The Gauge Doc tradition of precision craftsmanship, using only original Chrysler OEM thermal nichrome gauge wire and modern electronic components — including upgraded voltage limiters, tachometer boards, EL power packs, and quartz clock movements — to deliver reliable, factory-accurate results that has made the shop a name enthusiasts trust.
Today, while still specializing in the 1966-67 Chargers and electroluminescent displays the Gauge Doc has restored hundreds of clusters from the 1960s and 1970s — from A-, B-, C-, and E-body Mopars to Imperial and truck gauges — with work shipped to customers across the globe and even featured by well-known restoration shops like Graveyard Carz, FantomWorks, and Just Dashes.
Every rebuild is treated as if it were going back into our own cars. We take pride in quality, stand behind every job with a one-year warranty, and are committed to helping keep your classic Mopar’s gauges and clocks performing like new.
